Salt is a mineral, not a product of agriculture, and therefore cannot be certified organic. Something could be labelled an organic salt but that would mean that there were other ingredients in the product that were certified organic, but not the salt itself.
A compound is considered organic if it contains carbon bonded to hydrogen (C-H bonds). These are the building blocks of life and make up things like carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and more.
Salt is Sodium Chloride (NaCl) and does not contain carbon, same with water (H20), therefore these ingredients cannot be considered organic.
